The Activities committee is the most fun committee in the district. We are in charge of the largest program events, the Cuborees held in October, the Boy Scout Camporee held each fall and our day camp program held each summer. Each of these events is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. They provide your units with a planned program for the duration of the event. So all your unit has to do is sign up, get your camping gear and meal plan together and enjoy our camp facilities: Camp Grimes in Midland, NC and Belk Scout Camp in Mint Hill - we provide the rest of the fun.
We are always looking for input from you, the frontline leader. Without your input we cannot continue to provide the adventures that are demanded from today’s youth. So if you have an idea please let us know.
Also this year the Activities committee will be closely working with the Council on the 100th anniversary celebrations of Scouting. We are truly looking forward to many once in a lifetime experiences in the coming program year.
